View Video Tribute Arlene “June” Strup, age 89, of Edon, Ohio, died on Friday, June 30, 2006, at Park View Nursing Center, where she had been a resident for three years. Mrs. Strup was a home care provider for many years and a member of the Montpelier Nazarene Church. Arlene June Strup was born on June 25, 1917, in Montpelier, Ohio, the daughter of Charles Ray and Dorothy (Opdyke) Gaskill. She married Alva O. Strup on October 27, 1955, in Montpelier, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on November 1, 1999. Mrs. Strup is survived by five sons, Jim (Analiese) Mauk, of Highland, California, Ronald (Louisa) Mauk, of Twenty-nine Palms, California, Charles (Pat) Mauk, of Bryan, Ohio, Richard (Terry) Mauk, of Montgomery, Michigan, and Ray L. Strup, of Bryan, Ohio, two daughters, David (Barbara) Buntain, of Bryan, Ohio, and Deborah (Nicholas) Dulle, of Edon, Ohio, four stepsons, Alva L. (Arlene) Strup, of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Dennis L. (Pat) Strup, of Bryan, Ohio, Gary L. (Ginger) Strup, of Lafayette, Indiana, and Marvin L. (Denise) Strup, of Edon, Ohio, two stepdaughters, June Beal, of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Helen Goebel, of Edgerton, Ohio. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nineteen stepgrandchildren and seventeen stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, one son, Robert Mauk, and one great-grandson, Christopher Mauk. Services for Arlene “June” Strup will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2006, in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio, with Pastor John Rumple officiating. Interment will follow in Edon Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, July 7. Memorials in the name of Arlene “June” Strup may be given to Montpelier Nazarene Church or to charity of the donor’s choice.
