Lillie E. Rathbun

Lillie E. Rathbun, 85, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 3:00 A.M. on Friday, October 15, 2010, in her home. Mrs. Rathbun was a graduate of Whitney High School in Toledo, Ohio, and moved to Bryan in 1962 with her husband. She worked as a bookkeeper in the family business, Chet’s Auto Electric, in Bryan from 1962-1995. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Bryan, and the Bryan Lioness Club. Lillie E. Rathbun was born on January 21, 1925, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Sleesman) Richter. She married Chester W. Rathbun on February 19, 1944, in Toledo, and he preceded her in death on April 15, 2007. Surviving are two sons, Lynn (Bonnie) Rathbun, of Ithaca, New York, and Dennis (Vicki) Rathbun, of Bryan, four grandchildren, Nathan and Natalia Rathbun, both of Ithaca, Cole (Taryn) Rathbun, of Portage, Michigan, and Brooke (Jeff) Inselmann, of Bryan. Also surviving are two sisters, Hilda Switzer and Nancy Adamowicz, both of Toledo. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Elton Richter. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2010, from 2:00-5:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Memorial services and interment will be private.
