View Video Tribute Denver D. Davis, age 68, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 11:36 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2006, in his home after a brief illness. Mr. Davis owned and operated D. Davis and Son Floor Covering for thirty-eight years until his retirement. He was a 1957 graduate of Edgerton High School and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council #1494 in Edgerton, Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233, Butler Eagles Aerie #2737, the Auburn Moose Lodge and the Butler American Legion Post #202, Sons of the American Legion. Denver D. Davis was born on May 22, 1938, in Edgerton, Ohio, the son of Rudolph (R.T.) and Rose Teresa (Walsh) Davis. He married Judith L. Hug on April 25, 1959, in Blakeslee, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Davis is survived by three daughters, Teresa (Jerry) Shull, of Butler, Indiana, Lisa (David) Merkle, of Ohio City, Ohio, Denise (Rick) Williams, of Blakeslee, Ohio, and two sons, Gerald D. (Betsy) Davis, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Jeffrey D. (Jessica) Davis, of Edgerton, Ohio. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, DeWayne (Sharon) Davis and Marvin Davis, both of Bryan, Ohio, and three sisters, Kathleen Goebel and Imogene Stark, of Edgerton, Ohio, and Audrey Davis, of Bryan, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Thomas Davis. Services for Denver D. Davis will be on Thursday, December 28, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton, Ohio, with Father Stephen Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton, Ohio, from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, with recitation of the rosary at 8:00 p.m. Memorials in the name of Denver D. Davis may be given to the Gaurdian Angel at St. Patrick Catholic School or to St. Mary Catholic Church.
