View Video Tribute Tammy Marie Hills, 44 years, of rural Edon, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2006 in her home after a two year battle with cancer. Tammy was a graduate of Edon High School. She began her working career was a welder at Kustom Fit of Ohio in Pioneer, where she worked for 11 years. Tammy then left the work force and was a homemaker for the next ten years. She then returned to work, and was employed by Edon Northwest Schools as a custodian and kitchen aide. She also worked for Slattery Oil Company as a cashier for one year. She recently was the Officer In Charge for the Blakeslee Post Office for the past six months. She attended New Hope Community Church in Bryan, and was active in a Ladies Bible Study in Edon, called the Mary’s. Tammy Marie Hills was born on February 9, 1962, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Francis “Ed” and Ruth Marie (Sexton) Lovejoy. She married Bruce A. Hills on September 29, 1990 in Melbern, Ohio, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Bruce, Tammy is survived by one daughter, Amber (Matthew) Farnham of Hamilton, Indiana; three sons, Robert “Bert” Kissinger, III, of Edon, Benjamin and Bowen Hills, both at home; one grandson, Garrett Farnham; her parents, Francis “Ed” and Ruth Marie Lovejoy of Montpelier, Ohio; one brother, Bill (Cindy) Lovejoy of Montpelier, Ohio; one sister, Tina McCrea of Bryan, Ohio; Maternal grandmother, Esther Sexton of Fayette, Ohio; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Shirley Spencer of Edon, Ohio along with three nieces. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Francis and Opal Lovejoy and Jackson Sexton. Funeral services for Tammy Marie Hills will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2006 in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, Ohio with Daniel Gallagher, Minister, officiating. Private interment Edon Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton. Memorials in the name of Tammy Marie Hills may be given to Northwest Christian Church, Edon, Ohio.
