Mary R. Kimpel, age 85, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 9:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 5, 2010, at the home of her niece, in Edgerton, after an extended illness. Mrs. Kimpel was employed in customer service and office administration with General Telephone Company, retiring with twenty years of service. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton, the Rosary Altar Society and C L of C. Mary R. Kimpel was born on August 27, 1925, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Harry James and Eva Rose (Fritch) Free. She married Russell Kimpel on December 28, 1979, in Defiance, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on May 1, 1992. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Sue (Steve) Dood, of Grand Rapids, Ohio, and one grandson, Aaron Dood. Also surviving are eleven nephews and nieces. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James and Robert Free, and one sister, Betty Lehman. Visitation will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, on Thursday, December 9, 2010, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Recitation of the rosary will following, beginning at 8:00 P.M. on Thursday. Service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Reverend Stephen Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton. Memorials are requested to St. Mary Church or School or to Visiting Nurses and Hospice of Williams and Fulton Counties.
