View Video Tribute Merilyn R. Balogh, age 81, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 9:55 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2007, at Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton, Ohio, where she was a resident. Mrs. Balogh was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, Rosary Altar Society, Jolly Neighbors and John D. Smith Post #10 American Legion Auxiliary. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother and also had been a cook for many years at St. Mary’s School. Merilyn R. Balogh was born on August 20, 1926, near Edgerton, Ohio, the daughter of Raymer and Evelyn (Edwards) Miller. She married Paul Balogh on November 16, 1946, in Edgerton, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on February 28, 2004. Mrs. Balogh is survived by four sons, David (Deb) Balogh and Donald (Kathy) Balogh, both of Edgerton, Ohio, Joseph (Diane) Balogh, of Mansfield, Ohio, and John (Jill) Balogh, of Raleigh, North Carolina, four daughters, Paula Balogh, Cynthia (Ron) Leppelmeier, and Kathe (Rick) Stotz, all of Edgerton, Ohio and Karen (Keith) Muehlfeld, of Napoleon, Ohio. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two sisters, Madilyn (Richard) Fritch, of Edgerton, Ohio, and Leone Neidhardt, of Hicksville, Ohio. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Balogh was preceded in death by two brothers, Wendell and Kenneth Miller. Services for Merilyn R. Balogh will be on Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Stephen Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton, Ohio, after 2:00 p..m. on Tuesday, September 11, with a scripture service to be conducted at 8:00 p..m. on Tuesday.
