Karen K. Batt, age 66, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 8:10 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2007, shortly after admittance at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers - Bryan following an extended illness. Karen K. Batt was born in Bryan, Ohio, on August 30, 1940, the daughter of Willis and Dessie (Geren) Stambaugh. She married David E. Batt, Sr. on May 28, 1964, in Bryan, Ohio, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Batt is survived by one daughter, Belinda (Ed) Taylor, of Jackson, Michigan, three sons, David E. (Jan) Batt, Jr., of Bryan, Ohio, Jon Batt, of Bloomfield, Michigan, and Jerry (Angie) Batt, of Bowling Green, Ohio, nine grandchildren, and one sister, DeeAnn (Tom) Fleming, of Bryan, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Dawn Rupp, in 2005, and an infant brother, Maurice Lavon. The funeral service for Karen K. Batt will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, with Bill Priest officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery, rural Bryan. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 30, in the funeral home. Memorials in the name of Karen K. Batt may be given to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.
