Frieda I. Burlew

Frieda I. Burlew, age 88, of Edon, Ohio, died at 6:40 A.M. on Monday, August 30, 2010, at her residence. Mrs. Burlew was a buffing inspector at Edgerton Metal Products for many years and then was a longtime babysitter in Edon. She loved sporting events and enjoyed attending events her grandchildren were playing in. Frieda I. Burlew was born on August 8, 1922, near Pioneer, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence and Alma (Schull) Reese. She married Lyle Burlew on August 2, 1942, and he preceded her in death on July 7, 1977. Surviving are five daughters, Bonnie Mills, Beverly (Robert) Mason, Rhonda (Max) Lower, all of Edon, Cheryl Baumann, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Lois (Stevy) Gibson, of London, Kentucky, and one son, Robert (Mary) Burlew, of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are one brother, Ralace (Delores) Reese, of Auburn, Indiana, and one daughter-in-law, Donna Burlew, also of Edon. Preceding her in death in addition to her husband were one son, Bill Burlew, two brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter, and one grandson. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon. Services will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at 1:30 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon. Interment will follow in Edon Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the family.
