Bernard C. Siglow, age 86, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2006, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan. He was a 1940 graduate of Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio. Mr. Siglow was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II with the 9th Army in Northern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe. He attended the Cleveland Engineering Institute of Tool and Die Design. He was employed by United Manufacturing and Joslyn Manufacturing as a machine shop foreman, retiring in 1973. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton, the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), of which he was a life member, and Christ Dunberger Post #0537 of the American Legion in Oregon, Ohio. He was also an avid gardener and grew exhibition chrysanthemums as a member of the Greater Cleveland Chrysanthemum Society. Bernard C. Siglow was born on December 4, 1920, in Jerusalem Township in Lucas County, Ohio, the son of Milton Phillip and Ellen Mary (Perry) Siglow. He married M. Donelda Sanders on August 30, 1952, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Siglow is survived by one brother, Robert Siglow, of Toledo, Ohio, and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Margaret Scherack. Services for Bernard C. Siglow will be on Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton, Ohio, with Father Stephen Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Edgerton with grave side military rites conducted by John D. Smith Post #10 of the American Legion. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton, Ohio, from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2006, with recitation of the rosary at 8:00 p.m. Memorials in the name of Bernard C. Siglow may be given to the St. Mary's Catholic School Endowment Fund.
