View Video Tribute Dortha G. Rinkel, age 96, of rural Bryan, Ohio, died at 6:55 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2007, at Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton, Ohio, where she was a resident. Mrs. Rinkel was a 1929 graduate of Bryan High School and was a secretary in the accounts payable department at the Hollabird Company in Bryan, Ohio. She retired with thirty years of service. She attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Williams Center. Dortha G. Rinkel was born on March 30, 1911, near Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Welcome James and Helen Roena (Koeppe) Crites. She married James P. Rinkel, Sr. on June 22, 1934, in Bryan, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1993. Mrs. Rinkel is survived by two sons, Duane D. Rinkel and James P. (Margie) Rinkel, Jr., both of Bryan, Ohio, three grandchildren, Tony J. Rinkel, of St. Marys, Ohio, Scott A. (Tricia) Rinkel, of Defiance, Ohio, and Melissa (Scott) Maneval, of West Unity, Ohio, and five great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Emily and Timothy Maneval and Landon and Lance Rinkel. She is also survived by one brother, Donald Crites, of Ney, Ohio, and two sisters, Ruth Speiser, of Stryker, Ohio, and Waiva VanWagner, of Defiance, Ohio. Services for Dortha G. Rinkel will be on Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Tamara Russell officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio, from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7. Memorials in the name of Dortha G. Rinkel may be given to Calvary United Methodist Church in Williams Center, Ohio.
