View Video Tribute Mildred M. Gerry, age 84, formerly of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 12:40 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2007, at her home in Montpelier, Ohio. Mrs. Gerry was employed by Spangler Candy Company in Bryan, Ohio, for nineteen years. She then worked for the Edgerton Local Schools for eleven years. She was a member of the John D. Smith Post #10 American Legion Auxiliary in Edgerton and St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Montpelier. She formerly was a member of Emanuel United Methodist Church in Edgerton and the United Methodist Women. Mildred M. Gerry was born on October 16, 1922, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Robinson) Kuszmaul. She married Vernice (Dick) Gallant on July 16, 1938, and he preceded her in death on April 14, 1964. She then married Lewis Gerry on March 15, 1969, and he preceded her in death on March 21, 1993. Mrs. Gerry is survived by one daughter, Wayva (Clell) Brown, of Montpelier, Ohio, two sons, Gene (Eileen) Gallant, of Michigan City, Indiana, and Ronald (Pat) Gallant, of Montpelier, Ohio, one stepdaughter, Carole (Bob) Bunting, of Edgerton, Ohio, one daughter-in-law, Dina Gallant, of Defiance, Ohio, twenty-six grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Clara (Delvain) Kittle, of Edgerton, Ohio. In addition to both of her husbands, Mrs. Gerry was preceded in death by four sons, Roy, Jack, Tom and Rex Gallant, one daughter, Wilma Irene Gallant, one stepson, James Gerry, two sisters, five brothers, two granddaughters and four grandsons. Services for Mildred M. Gerry will be on Monday, January 8, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton, Ohio, with Pastor Todd Mills and Pastor Tim Gleason officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton, Ohio, after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7. Memorials in the name of Mildred M. Gerry may be given to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Edgerton Emanuel United Methodist Church or Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers - Hospice Care.
