View Video Tribute Chauncey A. “Al” Rohrbaugh, age 70, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2007, in his home after a brief illness. Mr. Rohrbaugh was a 1955 graduate of Bryan High School and was employed by The Aro Corporation in Bryan, Ohio, for 29½ years and in Angola, Indiana, for 4½ years. He also was employed by Nemco Medical in Hicksville for 4½ years, retiring in 1999. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a lifetime member of the AmVets. He was firefighter with Bryan Fire Department for 20 years and was a member of Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233 and the Bryan Moose Lodge #1064. He was an avid golfer and bowler and was Bowler of the Year at Bryan Lanes for 2000-2001 and was inducted in the Bryan Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 2007. Chauncey A. “Al” Rohrbaugh was born on March 21, 1937, in Elkhart, Indiana, the son of Walters S. and Evelyn J. (Jewell) Rohrbaugh. He married Caroline K. Jones on March 28, 1990, in Reno, Nevada, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Rohrbaugh is survived by his mother, Evelyn Rohrbaugh, of Bryan, Ohio, two daughters, Bonne Grieve, of Wichita, Kansas, and Dana Kubanda, of Bryan, Ohio, one son, Christopher Rohrbaugh, of Bryan, Ohio, five grandchildren, three stepchildren, Jody Szabo, of Defiance, Ohio, Jeannie Trejo, of Carter Lake, Iowa, and Jim Jones, of San Francisco, California, and three step-grandchildren. A reception celebrating the life of Chauncey A. “Al” Rohrbaugh will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2007, from 3-5 p.m. at the Bryan Bowling Center in Bryan, Ohio. Memorials in the name of Chauncey A. “Al” Rohrbaugh may be given to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers - Hospice Care.
