View Video Tribute Vernon Robert “Bob” Nutter, 80 years, of Bryan, died on Tuesday, August 17, 2006, at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home, Montpelier, where he had been a resident the past two weeks. An Army veteran of World War II, Bob was a purchasing agent for Ohio Art Company. He also was previously employed by The Aro Corporation and Bard Manufacturing. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bryan, and the Bryan Moose Lodge #1064. He had previously been active with the Bryan Masonic Lodge #215 and the Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233. Vernon Robert “Bob” Nutter was born on November 3, 1925, in Montpelier, Ohio, the son of Wilton Vernon and Virginia Ann (Allman) Nutter. He married Phyllis Lucille Crozier on November 5, 1955, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore, Ohio, and she preceded him in death on January 5, 1997. Surviving are his son, Robert “Rob” (Katrina) Nutter, of Winchester, Virginia, and grandchildren, Sarah, Michael and Stephen Nutter, also of Winchester, Virginia. Funeral services for Vernon R. Nutter will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2006, in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Rob Marrow officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery, rural Bryan. Visitation for Mr. Nutter will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2006, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Monday, August 21, 2006, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials in the name of Vernon R. Nutter may be given to any food pantry of the donor’s choosing.
