Lucille Ada Monosmith, age 85, died at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2007, in her home. Mrs. Monosmith was a member of the Melbern United Methodist Church, Sodom Grange, John D. Smith Post #10 American Legion Auxiliary and was a past member of the Edgerton Lions Club. Lucille Ada Monosmith was born on March 13, 1921, in St. Joe, Indiana, the daughter of Jesse (Jay) and Della (Mann) Hart. She married Marion A. Monosmith on June 11, 1940, and he preceded her in death on September 21, 2001, She then married Donald M. Clay on March 13, 2003, and he preceded her in death on August 1, 2003. Mrs. Monosmith is survived by three children, Elton (Carole) Monosmith, of Edgerton, Ohio, Shirley (Robert) Krauklis, of Orlando, Florida, and Frank (Pamela) Monosmith, of Hicksville, Ohio, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two sisters, her twin, Leota Keppeler and Margaret Keppeler, both of Edgerton, Ohio. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded by her parents, one sister, Annabelle, and five brothers, Leoral, Henry, Jesse, James and Walter. Services for Lucille Ada Monosmith will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2007, at the Melbern United Methodist Church with Pastor Diane Schaffner and Pastor Dee Custar officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton, Ohio, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 11. Memorials in the name of Lucille Ada Monosmith may be given to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Hospice or the Melbern United Methodist Church.
