Richard G. Bostater

View Video Tribute Richard G. “Bo” Bostater, 64years, of Bryan, died at 9:00 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2007, in his residence after a brief illness. An Army veteran stationed in Germany from 1960 to 1963, Richard was employed by the City of Bryan, Street Department for 14 years, retiring as Street Commissioner. He also was a co-owner of B & M Auto Service for 20 years. He was a life member of the Ohio Gun Collector’s Association, the Amateur Trap Shooting Association, the National Rifle Association, Bryan Moose Lodge #1064, Williams County Bass Anglers, Pheasants Forever and the Williams County Conservation Club. He was a former member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233. He was an avid outdoor sportsman. Richard G. Bostater was born on September 15, 1942, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Victor and Gertrude (Cramer) Bostater. He married Sandra K. Ruffer on June 17, 2004 in Bryan, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Sandra, Richard is survived by his daughter, Christa (Lynn) Hancock of Columbus, Ohio; Granddaughter, Hannah Hancock; stepdaughters, Shanon Kimpel of Antwerp and Brittany Kimpel of Archbold’ step-granddaughter, McKenzie Mason; two brothers, Robert (Vickie) of Bryan and Roger Bostater of New London, North Carolina; one sister, Joyce (Richard) Bennett of Williams Center and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services for Richard G. “Bo” Bostater will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2007 in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Crystal Goodnight, officiating. Private burial will be made in Fountain Grove Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Bostater will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 from 2-8 p.m. in the Funeral Home. Memorials in the name of Richard G. “Bo” Bostater may be given to Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Williams and Fulton Counties, 230 Westfield Drive, Archbold, Ohio 43502.
