Jack J. Jackson, age 92, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 12:19 A.M. on Sunday, December 19, 2010, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan after a brief illness. Mr. Jackson was employed by Pet Milk in Bryan and retired with thirty-five years of service. He was a faithful member of Faith United Methodist Church in Bryan, where he was currently teaching a Sunday school class. He was known as a people person and a do-it-yourselfer who enjoyed woodworking, fishing, traveling and wintering in Florida, where he also enjoyed attending Nascar races with his son, Dick. At the age of 90, he received a bicycle as a birthday present for his riding pleasure. Jack J. Jackson was born on April 10, 1918, near Cecil, Ohio, the son of Harry and Gladys (Johnson) Jackson. He married Anna Myers in 1940, and she preceded him in death on April 1, 1976. He then married Evelyn Whitney in March of 1977, and she preceded him in death in March of 2006. He is survived by two sons, Terry Jackson, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Dr. Richard (Sara) Jackson, of Thornville, Ohio, one daughter, Bonnie (Jeff) Howey, of New Haven, Indiana, two stepdaughters, Jill Costello and Linda McCarthy, both of Bryan, and two daughters-in-law, Lindy Jackson, of Midland, Michigan, and Candace Whitney, of Orlanda, Florida. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and nine stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, one son, Dr. Larry Jackson, one grandson, Tom Jackson, four brothers, Wayne, Leon, Carl and Bill Jackson, a sister, Martha Santos, and a stepson, Michael Whitney. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at 1:30 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with Reverend Susan Roads officiating. Interment will follow at Rochester Cemetery near Cecil, Ohio. Memorials are requested to Faith United Methodist Church in Bryan.
