Hilda V. Hartman, age 83, of Bryan, Ohio, died early on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at The Inn at Fountain Park, where she was a resident. Mrs. Hartman was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rosary Altar Society, Shamrock Circle, and Bryan Moose Lodge and was formerly a member of the Farm Bureau Council and a 4-H advisor. She traveled extensively with her husband and they rarely missed a state or national Knights of Columbus convention. She was an avid gardener, and mowing the lawn and being outside were her passions. Hilda V. Hartman was born on July 27, 1926, in Blakeslee, Ohio, the daughter of Albert and Viola (Siebenaler) Wehrle. She married Jerome J. “Jake” Hartman on January 26, 1946, in Blakeslee, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on April 28, 2010. She is survived by one son, Richard (Kathy) Hartman, of San Antonio, Texas, two daughters, Rebecca (Lonny) Wilson, of Paulding, Ohio, and Linda (Allen) Flesher, of Bryan, fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a special nephew, Lavon Stark, of Bryan. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert, in 1997, two brothers, Lavon and Hillis Wehrle and a sister, Louise Gearhart. Visitation for Hilda V. Hartman will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. A scripture service will follow at 8:00 P.M. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father James Halleron officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery. Memorials in the name of Hilda V. Hartman may be given to St. Patrick Catholic Church or to a hospice of the donor’s choice.
