Berneda A. Firestone

Firestone, age 83, of rural Edon, Ohio, died at 12:15 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2006, in Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Angola, Indiana, where she was a resident. Mrs. Firestone was a member of the Northwest Grange and Bethlehem Christian Union Church near Edon, Ohio. Berneda A. Firestone was born on July 9, 1923, in Brady Township near West Unity, Ohio, the daughter of Leland and Wilma (Kutzli) Meyers. She married W. Carlton Firestone on December 26, 1942, in Columbia, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on September 20, 1992. Mrs. Firestone is survived by two daughters, Kathy Callaway and Sue (Larry) Lloyd, both of Edon, Ohio, one son (Wayne (Barb) Firestone, of Edon, Ohio, thirteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Leland (Donna) Meyers, Jr., of West Unity, Ohio, and one sister, Annabelle (LaMar) Allomong, of Edon, Ohio. Services for Berneda A. Firestone will be on Monday, December 11, 2006, at 1:30 p.m in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon, Ohio, with Pastor Dan Shipley officiating. Interment will follow in the Columbia Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon, Ohio, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2006. Memorials in the name of Berneda A. Firestone may be given to the Alzheimers Association or to Bethlehem Christian Union Church.
