View Video Tribute John Michael Abbruzzese, Jr., age 58, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 3:20 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2007 in his home after an illness of several months. Mr. Abbruzzese was a butcher with the Edgerton Locker for ten years, drove truck for many years and was a mechanic with Bob’s Marathon in Bryan, Ohio for the past 17 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1967 - 1973 including a tour in Vietnam in 1968. He was also an avid car enthusiast working on vintage cars of his own. John Michael Abbruzzese, Jr. was born April 6, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois the son of John Michael, Sr. and Marion Abbruzzese. He married Lee Ann Allen on November 1, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois and she survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father, John Michael Abbruzzese, Sr., of Chicago, Illinois, one son, Michael T. (Boni) Abbruzzese, of Edgerton, Ohio, one daughter, Lisa Marie (Ed) Burger, of Bryan, Ohio, five grandchildren, Megan, Kelly and Madison Burger, Brigette Ridgeway and Thomas Jon Abbruzzese. He is also survived by a brother and sister - in- law, Pat and (Treasa) Allen, of Edgerton, Ohio, two brothers, Vito and Mario Abbruzzese of Chicago, Illinois, two sisters, Carmella (Ron) Palmer and Donna (Chuck) Gunther, both of Chicago, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion Abbruzzese, one brother, Michael Thomas Abbruzzese and his in-laws, John and Lou Allen. Services for John Michael Abbruzzese, Jr. will be Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 10:30 a.m in Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio with Father Charles Ritter officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery with grave side military rites conducted by VFW Post #2489. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Bryan, Ohio from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26. Memorials in the name of John Michael Abbruzzese, Jr. may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
