Mary A. McClellan, age 81, of rural Montpelier, Ohio, died at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2007, at Harborside Care Center of Northwest Ohio in Bryan, Ohio, where she was a resident. Mrs. McClellan was a homemaker and was self-employed in home cleaning for many years. She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Union Church near Edon, Ohio, and enjoyed sewing, crafts, and gardening. Mary A. McClellan was born on January 1, 1926, in Montpelier, Ohio, the daughter of Irvin Nason and Clela Ollie (Bauer) Fox. She married Lester D. McClellan on February 22, 1947, in Edon, Ohio, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Mrs. McClellan is survived by two sons, Ron(Sally) McClellan, of Alvordton, Ohio, and Mark McClellan, of Cincinnati, Ohio, three daughters, Sue (Robert) Sutherland, of Cornelius, North Carolina, Jeanne (Michael) Belth, of Columbia City, Indiana, and Judy (Brett) Potter, of Thompson, Pennsylvania, thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Annabelle Martin and Willene (Mel) Held, both of Bryan, Ohio, and Pauline (Bill) Herman, of Edon, Ohio, and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Fox, of Edon, Ohio. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carmon and Donald Fox, one sister, Ruth Walz, and two grandchildren. Services for Mary A. McClellan will be on Monday, October 1, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in the Bethlehem Christian Union Church near Edon, Ohio, with Pastor Dan Shipley officiating. Interment will follow in Edon Cemetery, Edon, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio, from 5-9 p.m. on Sunday, September 30. Memorials in the name of Mary A. McClellan may be given to the Bethlehem Christian Union Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
