Sylvia Thomas

Sylvia Thomas, age of 81, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 3:35 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2009, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, where she was a patient. Mrs. Thomas is the widow of Hubert Thomas. Sylvia Thomas was born on May 9, 1928, in Handshoe, Kentucky, the daughter of William and Dora (Terry) Handshoe. She is survived by two sons, Bennie Thomas, of Edgerton, and Buford Thomas, in Kentucky, and two daughters, Patricia Brandeberry, of West Unity, Ohio, and Averial Hall, of Tampa, Florida. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Michael, Joe and Chris Thomas, Amanda Thomas, and Adam Thomas, three great-grandchildren, and one sister, Thelma Allen, in Kentucky. She was preceded in death by one sister, one son, Michael Thomas, and a daughter, Dora Lee Thomas. Visitation for Sylvia Thomas will be held on Monday, June 8, 2009, from 5-7 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio. Interment will be in Handshoe Cemetery, Hueyville, Kentucky.
