View Video Tribute James Paul Luke, age 75, of Bryan, Ohio, died on Friday, September 7, 2007, at Fountain Park Inn in Bryan, Ohio. Mr. Luke worked as a machinist at The Aro Corporation, Bryan, from 1962-1994. He also served with the U.S. Marines in Korea, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. His memberships included St. Patrick Catholic Church, K of C Council #1915, DAV, Bryan VFW, and Bryan American Legion. Mr. Luke was an avid bowler who also coached Little League and Pony League baseball. James Paul Luke was born on June 12, 1932, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Harry L. and Wilma V. (Chappieus) Luke. He married Phyllis Laurene Wisman on December 19, 1953, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Luke is survived by two daughters, Deanna (James) Tucker, and Stephanie (Robert) Corron, both of Bryan, Ohio, one son, James (Caroline) Luke II, of Temecula, California, and six grandchildren, Julie Tucker, of Granville, Ohio, Joseph Tucker, Stephen and Robyn Corron, all of Bryan, Ohio, and Joshua and Breana Luke, both of Temecula, California. He was preceded in death by two children, Sandra and Timmy, his parents, four brothers, Virgil, Robert, Walter and Darrell Luke, and two sisters, Gladys Yoder and Lizzie Landel. Services for James P. Luke will be on Monday, September 10, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, Ohio, with Father Charles Ritter officiating. Interment will be in Brown Cemetery on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. with grave side military rites conducted by Bryan V.F.W. Post #2489. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, followed by a scripture service at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials in the name of James Paul Luke may be given to St. Patrick School.
