Paul F. Degryse, age 62, of rural Bryan, Ohio, died at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2009, in his home after an illness of six months. He was a truck driver for Weber Sand and Gravel and Pahl’s Ready Mix for ten years and had worked at Challenge-Cook and Central Transport. Mr. Degryse was a forty-year member of the Bryan Eagles, Aerie #2233, of which he was a past president and long-time secretary, and a member of the Bryan Moose Lodge #1064. He was an avid golfer and a member of Suburban Golf Course. Paul F. Degryse was born on June 1, 1946, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Maurice and Evelyn (Kimpel) Degryse. He is survived by two sons, Paul Jason (Danielle) Degryse, of Bryan, Ohio, and Dustin Allen (Tammy) Degryse, of Edon, Ohio, and eight grandchildren, Daniel Degryse, Jayden Keesbury, Brody Degryse, Avrey Degryse, Cydney Degryse, Taylor Hicks, Gracie Waldo and Bryce Owens. Also surviving are his father, Maurice Degryse, of Bryan, Ohio, a brother, Victor Degryse, of Bryan, Ohio, three sisters, Bonnie Degryse, of Bryan, Ohio, Janet Bible, of Defiance, Ohio, and Betty Cassabon, of Montpelier, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Gene. Visitation for Paul F. Degryse will be on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, after 2:00 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Services will be on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Jim Stinehelfer officiating. Memorials in the name of Paul F. Degryse may be given to the family on behalf of the grandchildren.
