Thomas C. Mills

Thomas C. Mills, age 85, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2008, in his home after a brief illness. A veteran of the Army Air Corps, he served during WWII and then retired as a major in the Air Force Reserves. He worked as an engineer at Ohio Gas Company and Hayes Albion. Thomas C. Mills was born on October 7, 1922, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Lewis and Fern (Combs) Mills. He married Bette J. Robinett on October 12, 1944, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Mills is survived by two daughters, Connie Sabins, of Harrisburg, North Carolina, and Kathy (Ted) James, of Bryan, Ohio, one son, Mark and Deb Mills, of Hamilton, Indiana, four grandchildren, Aric (Kris) Sabins, of Roxboro, North Carolina, Tiffani (Jason) Cochran, of Harrisburg, North Carolina, Nathan (Thonda) James, of Bryan, Ohio, and Christine Mills, of Hamilton, Indiana, and ten great-grandchildren, Ashlee & Olivia Sabins, Chloe, Wesley and Maggie Cochran, Bri and Ali James, Dominic, Tyler and Cassidy James. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Tyrone James, a son-in-law, Wes Sabins and two brothers, Ed and Don Mills. Grave side services for Thomas C. Mills will be on Sunday, March 15, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. in Brown Cemetery, rural Bryan, with Pastor Dee Custar officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials in the name of Thomas C. Mills may be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
