Karen J. Danner, 57, of Bryan, Ohio, died on Saturday evening, October 6, 2007, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Bryan following a lingering illness. Born on August 15, 1950, in Bryan, Ohio, to Mildred (Kikly) and David Howey, she was a lifelong Bryan resident. A 1968 graduate of Bryan High School, she had attended Fort Wayne Business College. A homemaker, she had retired in April 2006 as a city letter carrier with the United States Postal Service, where she had been employed for over twenty years. She was a member and past president of the Crisis Line and was a frequent contributor to Locks of Love. Together for 16 years, she is survived by her husband, John F. "Ted" Danner. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Marc Allen Beardsley, of Bryan and a sister, Patricia (and husband, George) Strout, of Bryan. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 9, from 4-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 10, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Keisling to officiate. Burial will be in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan. Memorials may be made to Cancer Assistance of Williams County or the Williams County Humane Society.
