M. Charlotte Baden, 92, of Bryan, Ohio, died on Sunday, October 7, 2007, at 12:15 a.m., peacefully with her family surrounding her in the Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Bryan. She was born on August 25, 1915, in Liberty Center, Ohio. She was the daughter of Wendell W. and Leone (Bowers) West. On June 1, 1947, she married Albert W. Baden, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Rebecca (Robert) Albertson, Defiance, Susan (William) Essman, Angola, and Julie (Gregory) Seibert, Defiance; a son, Stephen (Janet) Baden, Sherwood; ten grandchildren, Bethanne Woodbury, Defiance, Melissa Turner, Bryan, Christopher Tawney, St. Petersburg, Florida, Kylee Seibert, Defiance, Kait Seibert, Defiance, Joe Essman, Jordan Essman, and Max Essman, Angola, Prudence Miller, Sherwood, Anessa Davis, Dublin, Ohio; eight great-grandchildren, Brittany Ely, Bryan, Will Turner, Bryan, Tyler and Emily Woodbury, Defiance, Nathan and Lauren Davis, Dublin, Ohio, Leigh and Dustin Turner, Omaha, Nebraska; two nieces, Arlene (Richard) Carse, of Texas, and Mindy (Kenny) Slawinski, Napoleon; three nephews, Tom Brubaker, Napoleon, Ted Brubaker, Bellevue, and Randy (Diane) Deblin, Napoleon. Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant daughter, Mary Olga, a sister, Harriett Brubaker, and a stepsister, Virginia Deblin. She worked at the Community Bank of Napoleon for sixteen years as the assistant cashier. She also worked at Dinner Bell Foods for 22 years in data processing, retiring in 1985. She was a past member of the Eastern Star in Napoleon. She was a piano and organ teacher to many children in the Fairview School District. Her hobbies included knitting and crocheting and playing the organ. She passed down her talent and love of crafts to all of her children and grandchildren. Her love for life is one of the greatest gifts she passed down to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She graduated from Napoleon High School in 1933. She was an organist at the Napoleon Methodist Church for 15 years and also at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sherwood, for 39 years, where she is a member. There will be no visitation. A funeral/memorial service will be held at a later date at the Krill Funeral Home in Bryan. Preferred memorials are requested to Hospice of Williams County.
