Charles E. Gilcher, age 81, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 5:45 P.M. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, in his home after an extended illness. Mr. Gilcher was employed by Beam-Stream in Montpelier, Ohio, in quality control until his retirement. Charles E. Gilcher was born on December 6, 1928, in West Jefferson, Ohio, the son of Waldo and Elva (Manley) Gilcher. He married Artis Loree Clay on February 18, 1950, in Montpelier and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Thomas Lee (Jodi) Gilcher, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, and Terry Lee (Cathy) Gilcher, of Montpelier, four grandchildren, Ryan Ellsworth (Erin) Gilcher, Travis Lee Gilcher, Stacy (Jason) Harrington and Tessa Marie Gilcher, one great-granddaughter, Kloe Ann Harrington, two brothers, Donald Gilcher, of Montpelier, and James (Gloria) Gilcher, of Kunkle, Ohio, and one sister, Betty Esterline, of Montpelier. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Darlene Fisher. Private family services and interment were held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, with Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, in charge of arrangements.
