Karen S. Schwender, age 61, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at Harborside Healthcare of Northwest Ohio in Bryan, Ohio, after an illness of one year. Mrs. Schwender was a homemaker and was a Bryan resident since 1965. Karen S. Schwender was born on June 5, 1946, in Spencer, West Virginia, the daughter of Deering George and Viola Dorothy (Cunningham) Love. She married Roger L. Schwender on September 10, 1965, in Jonesville, Michigan, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Schwender is survived by two sons, Roger M. “Monty” Schwender, of Bryan, Ohio, and Joseph M. “Marty” (Tami) Schwender, of Sparks, Nevada, one daughter, Lori A. Schwender, of Bryan, Ohio, and four grandchildren, Samantha, Kennedy, Tori and Cade. She is also survived by two brothers, Joe Love, of West Virginia, and Bill Love, of Virginia, and two sisters, Linda Hageman, of Ney, Ohio, and Shirley Moss, of Parkersburg, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Love, and one sister, Wanda McCrady. Visitation for Karen S. Schwender will be on Saturday, October, 13, 2007, from 12 - 2 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio. Private services will follow with Pastor John MacFarlane officiating. Interment will be in Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan, Ohio. Memorials in the name of Karen S. Schwender may be given to Cancer Assistance of Williams County.
