View Video Tribute Loretta A. Buchs, age 72, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, July, 1, 2007, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio, after an illness of four months. Mrs. Buchs was a retail sales clerk for the Edgerton Pharmacy, retiring in 1993 with twenty-two years of service. She was a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church. Loretta A. Buchs was born on October 29, 1934, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Earl and Ruth (Long) Friedel. She was raised by her grandmother, Charlotta Long, after the death of her mother when she was five years old.. She married Donald D. Buchs on June 20, 1951, in Angola, Indiana, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Buchs is survived by two daughters, Judy (Lewis) Hendricks, of Montpelier, Ohio, and Tammy Buchs, of Edgerton, Ohio, two sons, Alonzo (Mary) Buchs, of Bryan, Ohio, and Curtis (Lois) Buchs, of Montpelier, Ohio, ten grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and one sister, Mary Pierce, of Warsaw, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Chasity Carpenter. Services for Loretta A. Buchs will be on Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at 11:00 a.m in the Krill Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Gleason officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3. Memorials in the name of Loretta A. Buchs may be given to the Williams County Humane Society, Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers - Hospice Care or the Edgerton United Methodist Church.
