View Video Tribute Alan Jay Williams, age 56, of Edon, Ohio, died at 4:42 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2007, at his residence following a lengthy illness. A graduate of Fremont High School, Fremont, Indiana, Mr. Williams attended Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana. He achieved thirty years of service as a machinist at The Aro Corporation and then New Era Ohio in Bryan, where he was currently employed. He was a veteran of the United States Army and member of Am-Vets Post 54 in Bryan and the Bryan Eagles. Alan Jay Williams was born on October 28, 1950, in Angola, Indiana, the son of Don P. And Gladys (Shaull) Williams. On September 20, 1972, he married Jeri Ann Keller in Pleasant Lake, Indiana, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Williams is survived by one daughter, Jackie (Jeff) Bennett, Milton, Florida, his mother, Gladys Bancroft, of Toledo, Ohio, three brothers, Phillip (Mary Ann) Williams, of Angola, Indiana, Kevin (Diane) Williams, of Fremont, Indiana, and Victor (Karen) Williams, of Angola, Indiana, one sister, Debby (Allen) Adams, of Montpelier, Ohio, one half-sister, Lynn Curtis, and one half-brother, Greg Troiano. He was preceded by a one half brother, Richard Troiano. Services for Alan Jay Williams 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2007, in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, Ohio, with Pastor Robert Koenig officiating. Interment will be in Billingstown Cemetery, rural Edon, Ohio, with grave side military rites. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, October 22. Memorials in the name of Jay Allan Williams may be made to the Liver Foundation.
