View Video Tribute William Ray Harris, age 81, of Bryan, died at 1:10 p.m., Monday, March 19, 2007 at Harborside Health Care of Northwest Ohio in Bryan, Ohio where he was a patient. Mr. Harris was a maintenance man at Spangler Candy Company from 1950- 1963 and then for Bryan Metals until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of Bryan Eagles, Aerie #2233 and the Eagles golf league. He was a avid baseball fan of the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians. William Ray Harris was born on July 1, 1925 in Roseville, Ohio the son of Philip and Anna (Turner) Harris. He married Floss Irene Reeves on July 2, 1948 in New Lexington, Ohio, and she preceded him in death on December 20, 2006. Mr. Harris is survived by one son, Gene (Shirley) Harris of Bryan; three daughters, Ruth (Patrick) Stein of Edon, Kathy (Mike) Prokop of Cleveland Heights, Ohio and Brenda Cogswell of Bryan; son-in-law, Dean Blosser of Bryan; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Karen Blosser; three brothers, Philip, Fred and Kent Harris and two sisters, Gertrude Pace and Mary Tokie. Funeral services for William Ray Harris will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery, rural Bryan. Visitation for Mr. Harris will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2007 in the funeral home. Memorials in the name of William Ray Harris Harris may be given to the American Cancer Society.
