View Video Tribute Scott A. Cooley, age 71, of Bryan, Ohio, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2007, in his home after a brief illness. Mr. Cooley was employed by The Aro Corporation as a troubleshooter, leaving with thirty-five years of service, and he operated the Scott Cooley Machine Shop after leaving Aro. He was a sixty-eight year member of the West Jefferson Zion Lutheran Church and was a Jefferson Township trustee from 2002 to present and worked as a volunteer with the Williams County Fair Foundation. Scott A. Cooley was born on April 16, 1936, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Lincoln M. and Alda J. (Davis) Cooley. He married Ruth Ann Ludwig on May 28, 1955, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Cooley is survived by one son, Kevin (Pamela) Cooley, of Bryan, Ohio, one daughter, Debra (Scott) Wilson, of Port Huron, Michigan, seven grandchildren, Jessica (Nick) Moeller, Rebecca Wilson and Natalie, Daniel, Zeke, Drew and Courtney Cooley. He is also survived by four brothers, Leonard Cooley, of Ontario, Oregon, Homer (Leona) Cooley, of Orville, California, Roy Cooley, of Payette, Idaho, and Jesse (Janet) Cooley, of Bryan, Ohio, one sister, Marie Dooms, of Nampa, Idaho, and one sister-in-law, Lynette Cooley, of Bryan, Ohio. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Jacob Lee Cooley, in 1996, a brother, James Cooley, and a sister, Gena Wussow. Services for Scott A. Cooley will be on Saturday, July 7, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor Jeff Bischoff of the West Jefferson Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Bryan, Ohio, from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, July 6. Memorials in the name of Scott A. Cooley may be given to West Jefferson Zion Lutheran Church, Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers - Hospice Care or Cancer Assistance of Williams County.
