Roland T. “R.T”. Shook, age 76, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 2:50 p.m. on Sunday, October 14, 2007, at his home after an extended illness. He was a heavy equipment mechanic for Holloway Construction and Winzeler Excavating prior to his retirement. Mr. Shook was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Korea. He was a member of the Stryker American Legion and was a former member of the Eagles. “R.T.” Shook was born on January 16, 1931, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Clarence Okla and Beatrice (Daft) Shook. He married June Marie Finken on April 30, 1955, in Angola, Indiana, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Shook is survived by three sons, Michael (Ruth) Shook, of Montpelier, Robin (Donna) Shook and Bruce (Stephanie) Shook, both of Bryan, Ohio, one daughter, Lori (Tim) Pierce, of Dalton Pennsylvania, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one brother, LaVon Shook, of Columbus, Ohio. Services for “R.T.” Shook will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2007, in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastors Homer Miller and Dee Custar officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan, Ohio, with grave side military rites conducted by Bryan VFW Post #2489. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Bryan from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17. Memorials in the name of “R.T.” Shook may be given to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers-Hospice Care.
