Joseph L. Baldwin

Joseph L. Baldwin, age 63, of West Unity, Ohio, died at 1:27 A.M. on Friday, January 19, 2018, as a result of injuries he suffered in a car accident. Mr. Baldwin retired from Norfolk & Southern railroad after 41 years of service, most recently as a foreman. Joe was a member of the Montpelier Moose and Eagles. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, deer hunting and fishing. His favorite thing to do was shoot pool. Joseph L. Baldwin was born on December 31, 1954, in Peru, Indiana, the son of Jackie R. and Mae E. (Kintner) Baldwin. He married Peggy J. Vaughn on April 19, 1997, in West Unity and she survives. Joe is also survived by his children, Tara (Nate Cavazos) Baldwin, of Montpelier, Ohio, Lindsey (Nate Sines) Massey, of Montpelier, Nathan (Nicole) Poole, of Napoleon, Ohio, Matthew Baldwin, of Bryan, Ohio, Raymond “Joey” Poole, of West Unity, William Daryl (Amber) Massey, of Kunkle, Ohio, Joseph (Beth) Baldwin, of Peru, and Josh Baldwin, of Peru, and Jamie (Jason) Bostater, of West Unity; many grandchildren; his parents, Jack and Mae Baldwin, of Peru; three brothers, Danny Baldwin, in Colorado, Dick Baldwin, in Minnesota, and Chuck Baldwin, of Peru; and many nieces, nephews and close friends, particularly his best friend, Rob Ellis, of West Jefferson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Marty Baldwin. Funeral services for Joseph L. Baldwin will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at 7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service. He will be laid to rest at a later date. Memorials are requested to Williams County Cancer Assistance.
