Anne M. Bard

September 15, 1957 — November 12, 2017

Anne Marie Bard, age 60, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 2:39 A.M. on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Inc. in Bryan, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. We are celebrating Anne’s eternal Life with our Lord in heaven. She is an understanding, compassionate and committed wife; a mother to all whom she encountered; a rose in every garden. Anne is a refuge who lives a glorious relationship with our Lord, today. Opportunities provided to share the Lord’s Love with family and friends were the moments Anne lived for. She was devoted to studying scripture and was a regular attendee of Bible Study in Defiance. Anne also embraced the country life and enjoyed sewing, especially American Girl doll clothes, gardening, scuba diving, taking long walks and riding her bike. She is also a devoted member of Bryan First Church of Christ. Her most beautiful qualities were never forgetting her manners, always being genuine, unconditional giving and extending a warm open heart to all she met; she was grace. Anne worked at Bard Manufacturing Company from 1986-1989 and would then stay home to raise her family. Most recently she was the Senior Saints Coordinator at Bryan First Church of Christ from 2010-2013 and currently served as logistics and project manager for “All Things Food” in Bryan. For Anne’s love of embracing life, two people are receiving the gift of eyesight from Anne’s donation of eye tissue. Anne Marie Parker was born on September 15, 1957, on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, the daughter of James and Marjorie (Campbell) Parker. She is a graduate of Watterson High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Production Operations Management from The Ohio State University. Anne married Scott Richard Bard on August 17, 1985, in Columbus, Ohio, and he survives. Also surviving are three sons, Jarrad (Amber) Bard, Michael Bard, and Austin (and fiancée, Sara Stark) Bard, all of Bryan; two grandchildren, Oaklee and Naomi Bard; three sisters, Laura (Joseph) Flaherty, of Dublin, Ohio, Mary (John) Kinneer, of Concord, North Carolina, and Susan “Sue” (Mike) Castle, of Columbus; three brothers, David (D D) Parker, of Hocking Hills, Ohio, Michael (Melinda) Parker, of Worthington, Ohio, and Ed Parker, of Marysville, Ohio; her father, James Parker, of Westerville, Ohio; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother. Visitation will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, on Thursday, November 16, 2017, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Services celebrating Anne’s life will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. in Bryan First Church of Christ with Pastor Larry Snavely officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery near Bryan. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to WBCL Radio, Bryan First Church of Christ or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
