Dorothy L. Buck, age 92, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 9:29 A.M. at Hillside Country Living near Bryan, Ohio, where she was a resident. Mrs. Buck was a graduate of Scott High School in Toledo, Ohio, and had been employed by the Lions Store in Toledo, retiring with fifteen years of service. She moved to the Edgerton area and would later work for Knox Textiles for more than ten years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton and enjoyed sewing, playing BINGO and shopping, especially for shoes.
Dorothy L. Buck was born on September 13, 1925, in Toledo, the daughter of Joseph and Virginia (Snyder) Moore. She married Glen D. Buck on March 8, 1947, in Monroe, Michigan, and he preceded her in death on January 22, 1997.
Survivors include one daughter, Penny (Dan) Whitney, of Edgerton; her grandchildren, Christopher (Samantha) Welter, and Ashley and Abbey Whitney; and two great-grandchildren, Maisy and Bailey Welter. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Lewandowski and Ruth Putinti.
A memorial Mass celebrating the life of Dorothy L. Buck will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Reverend Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park at a later date.
