William F. Merica, age 79, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Genesis Healthcare-Bryan Center. Mr. Merica was a machinist at Metaldyne for 35 years prior to his retirement and was a member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233.
William F. Merica was born on April 11, 1938, in Calhoun County, Michigan, the son of Marion M. and Charlotte M. (Slagle) Merica He married Edna M. Gambler and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, Jeffrey (Jeannette) Merica, of Auburn, Indiana, Debra (Eugene) Wilson, of Montpelier and Robert (Pamela) Perry, of Lima; three granddaughters, Crystal, Stephanie and Bethany; four great grandchildren, Cooper, Zach, Emily and Clairisse; sisters, Mary Ballinger and Marjorie Robinson, both of Homer, Michigan and a brother, Walter Merica, of Homer, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Tammy Merica; granddaughter, Brenna Nichole Merica; sisters, Barbara Merica and Joyce Stanley; brother, Raymond Merica and brother-in-law, Edwin Gambler.
Visitation for William F. Merica will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Dean Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier.
