Kent S. Walker, age 45, of St. Marys, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 2, 2017, in his home of natural causes. Mr. Walker was a 1990 graduate of Edgerton High School and graduated from the Tiffin University, Tiffin, Ohio, in 1994, where he played baseball on scholarship. He has been employed by ContiTech Plant in St. Marys since 1999, and was currently a scheduler in the Banbury Division. Kent was an all-round sports fan, an avid golfer and Ohio State Buckeyes fan, a fan of the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks and the Cleveland Browns, “but not the Bengals,” and enjoyed bowling. Most of all, he was a devoted father, son, brother and uncle.
Kent S. Walker was born on January 3, 1972, in Hicksville, Ohio, the son of Donald Stephen and Ruth E. (Sanders) Walker.
Survivors include his daughter, Whitney Walker, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his parents, Steve and Ruth Walker, of Edgerton; one sister, Karen Walker, of Edgerton; one brother, Todd Walker, of Willoughby, Ohio; one niece, Hannah Walker, of Cleveland, Ohio; and his grandmother, Maxine Sanders, of Edgerton. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John E. Sanders and Donald and Anna Walker.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and on Friday, September 8, 2017, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton with Reverend Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Edgerton.
