D. Eugene "Geno" Stafford, age 53, of rural Edgerton, Ohio, died late Monday, May 8, 2017, at his home. He was a 1982 graduate of Edgerton High School and served six years in the United States Navy and following that served four years in the Army Reserves where he was a sniper. Currently he was employed by Rassini Chassis Systems, Inc. in Montpelier, Ohio and was the former owner of a Needles and Ink Tattoo shop in Edgerton. Geno enjoyed hunting, fishing and most recently, wildlife photography. He was a 3rd Degree Black Belt and an avid fan and longtime owner of Harley Davidson motorcycles.
DeWayne Eugene Stafford was born on August 27, 1963, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Charles Eugene and Norma Jean (Canaday) Stafford. He married Teresa R. Hug on January 9, 2010, near Edgerton and she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Amber (Andy) Howell, of Enterprise, Alabama; one son, Brandon (and fianceé, Rachel Haywood) Stafford, of Dothan, Alabama; two stepsons, Cody Taylor, of Angola, Indiana and Connor Hug, of Bryan; eight grandchildren; his father, Charles Eugene (Teresa) Stafford, of Edgerton; one sister, Lynn (Bill) Miller, of Edon, Ohio; and one brother, Charles Stafford, of Huntington, West, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Jean Stafford in 2003.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton with Pastor Byron Adams officiating. Interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton.
