Charles “Croley” Farris, age 81, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 12:22 P.M. on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, where he was a patient, after a brief illness. Croley worked as a detailer and retired from Tom Sheridan Ford. He enjoyed fishing, shooting and spending time outdoors.
Born on September 16, 1931, in Harts, West Virginia, Charles was the son of Millard and Nila (Dingess) Farris. He married Marita Bitz and she preceded him in death on August 2, 2016.
Charles is survived by his son, Tom Roehrig, of Fayette, Ohio; daughters, Sandra Moody, of Osseo, Michigan, and Jennifer (Todd) Mocherman, of Defiance, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Eric, Nicole and Marcus; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Virgie Rakes, of Defiance. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marita; brothers, Georgia, Lewis, Ernie and Journey; and sisters, Bonnie and Donnie.
Funeral services for Mr. Farris will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Reverend Mary Beth Smith-Gunn officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial at Fountain Grove Cemetery will follow.
