Eloise Mae Hodapp, age 88, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 9:20 P.M. on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center. Mrs. Hodapp was a secretary with Bryan City Schools for many years and was a member of First Brethren Church in Bryan. She enjoyed bowling, shuffle board, playing cards, traveling and time spent with her family.
Born on November 3, 1928, in Whitley County, Indiana, Eloise was the daughter of Carey A. and Gladys (Vanderford) Connell. She married Clifford E. Gilbert and later Arland W.F. Hodapp, who preceded her in death on March 2, 2007.
Eloise is survived by her sons, Rodney (Janet) Gilbert, of Bryan, Robert Gilbert, of Montpelier, Ohio, and Jerry Gilbert, of Fayette, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Carly, Christian, Tyson, Colin and Tony; two great-grandchildren; stepdaughter, Ann Lancaster; stepsons, Lee, Larry, Bill and Mike Hodapp; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, stepchildren, Gary Hodapp and Kathy Huard, and sister, Adell Lehman.
Funeral services for Eloise Mae Hodapp will held on Friday, March 24, 2017, at 4:00 P.M. at the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Brent Sloan officiating. Burial will follow at Shiffler Cemetery, Bryan. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2:00-4:00 P.M. prior to the service on Friday.
