Trudy M. Sumpter, age 74, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at her home. Trudy was a teacher in Bryan and Toledo. She was a member of the Retired Teachers’ Association and AARP. She was a loyal supporter of the Williams County Humane Society, Friends of Felines and the Cherry Street Mission.
Born on May 21, 1942, in Germany, Trudy was the daughter of Walter and Luise (Vogel) Feucert. She received her Bachelor degree from Bowling Green State University.
Trudy is survived by her sons, Glen (Susan) Bowen, of Edgerton, Ohio, and Eric (Ramona) Bowen of Bel Air, Maryland; grandchildren, Amy and Grace Bowen, of Bel Air, Jennifer Bowen, of Edgerton, Kasey (Jacob) Doehrmann, of Archbold, Ohio, Adam (Jarica) Collins, of Defiance, Ohio, and Heather Collins, of Dayton, Ohio; and great-grandchildren, Emmy and Bowen Doehrmann and Aidan Collins. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jimmy A. Bowen, and her sister, Gunhild Miller.
In accordance with Trudy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan has been entrusted with her arrangements.
