Margaret Joan Leslie, age 91, of Stryker, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Genesis Healthcare-Bryan Center in Bryan, Ohio, where she was a resident. Joan enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, traveling music and nursing at Bryan Community Hospital, where she worked until 1986. Joan had an unwavering faith in God and was an active member of Lick Creek Church of the Brethren.
Joan was born in Pioneer, Ohio, to Frank and Belva (Custer) Wyman on February 13, 1926. She graduated from Pioneer High School in 1943. She went on to attend Huntington College and Parkview Methodist School for Nursing in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Joan is survived by her husband of 69 years, Marshall Leslie, of Stryker; three daughters, Marsha Engle, of Seattle, Washington, Gayle Worrell, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Diane Stewart, of Pickins, South Carolina; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Belva Wyman, and her brother, Frederic Wyman.
Visitation will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, on Thursday, February 23, 2017, from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Private funeral services will be held with Pastors Dorothy Ritchy-Moore and William Holsopple officiating with burial following in Shiffler Cemetery, Pulaski, Ohio.
