Judith A. Heisler

Judith A. Heisler, age 92, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 9:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Park View Nursing Center, where she was a resident. Mrs. Heisler was a 1942 graduate of Edgerton High School had worked alongside her husband, Richard, at Dick’s IGA in Edgerton until his death in 1975. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church near Edgerton, was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Judith A. Heisler was born on November 6, 1924, in Frankfort, Ohio, the daughter of Nye S. and Madge M. (Goldsberry) Ater. She married Richard L. Heisler on November 25, 1945, in Edgerton, and he preceded her in death on July 6, 1975. Survivors include one son, Richard A. (Linda) Heisler, of Montpelier, Ohio; two daughters, Jody (Andy) Armstrong, of Bryan, Ohio, and Jennifer Heisler, of Edgerton; two grandchildren, Brian (Hollie) Heisler and Annie (Bodi) Kauffman; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Patricia Stotts, of Fairborn, Ohio, and Jo Wyatt, of Louisa, Kentucky. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Richard and Donald Ater. Visitation will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, on Thursday, February 23, 2017, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church with Reverend Kurt Letcher officiating. The family will receive visitors in the church for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society or to Zion Lutheran Church.
