Richard A. Myers, age 87, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 1:54 A.M. on Friday, January 13, 2017, at the Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center near Defiance. He was a graduate of Pioneer High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Richard was an insurance agent with All State Insurance Company for over 35 years. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Bryan Moose Lodge #1064, Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233 and the Napoleon American Legion Post. He called bingo for 35 years for St. Patrick’s bingo nights. Richard A. Myers was born on April 10, 1929, in Roanoke, Indiana, the son of Alfred and Mary T. (Wall) Myers. He married Lucille M. (McCann) Nye on April 4, 1959 in Bryan and she survives. Richard is also survived by his children, Roberta (Jim) Snivley, of Coldwater, Michigan and Dennis (Kim) Nye and Lisa (Paul) Zeinert, both of Bryan; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Charles and Francis Myers and sisters, Myrna Lash and Margaret Davis. Per Richard’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan has been entrusted with his arrangements. Memorials in the name of Richard A. Myers are requested to the Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center.
