Mildred I. Wiles, age 97, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Hillside Country Living near Bryan. Mrs. Wiles grew up in the Stryker, Ohio, area and raised her family in Pulaski. She retired from Winzeler Stamping in Montpelier, Ohio, and moved to Phoenix with her husband, where they resided for many years. She moved back to Bryan to be close to family in 2014. She was an excellent baker, of which she was very proud, and for many years baked wedding cakes and cakes for all occasions in her home, where you could find hundreds of books filled with recipes. She and her husband also enjoyed their membership with the Williams County Coon Hunters for many years and she also enjoyed reading her Bible.
Mildred I. Wiles was born on September 28, 1919, in Evansport, Ohio, the daughter of Edward and Cora (Pardee) Rex. She married Raymond Luther Wiles and he preceded her in death on September 17, 1985.
Survivors include one grandson, Brook (Kathy) Morris, of Edon; three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jack and Lucy Morris, all of Edon; one nephew, Robert (Sandy) Seigneur, of Pioneer, Ohio; and one niece, Doris (Seigneur) Bourbeau, of Phoenix, Arizona. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Ann Hinzman, in 2015, and a sister, Betty Seigneur.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Grave side services will be held at Evansport Cemetery on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor David Nicholls officiating.
The family requests that memorials may be given to the Williams County Humane Society.
