Linda L. Lewis, age 79, of Montpelier, Ohio, went peacefully to her heavenly home from her earthly home on Friday, December 16, 2106, following a brief illness. She was surrounded by her family and was excited to meet Jesus. Linda was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Eagles and the Moose. She was active at the Montpelier Senior Center for many years, where she often volunteered, cleaning tables and calling Bingo. Until the Senior Sailors disbanded, she served as president. She also enjoyed volunteering at the hospital when she was able. She loved her family, dogs, reading, adult coloring, and shopping, feeding the birds, and was often found playing a fun game of Rummicube or any other game available at the Senior Center. Linda L. Lewis was born on April 28, 1937, in Edgerton, Ohio, the daughter of Virgil and Myrtle Green, who preceded her in death. Surviving are one son, Joe (Jenny) Lancaster, of Sturgis, Michigan; four daughters, Kim (Mikeal) Cole, of Coldwater, Michigan, Connie (Jose) Sandoval, Kathy (Terry) Bostater and Angie Dennison, all of Montpelier; 39 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Madonna (Jim) Recore, also of Montpelier; and many good friends. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were two sons, Virgil (Tom) Lancaster and Donald Humbarger III; one granddaughter, Kristina Souza; four brothers, Jack Green, Robert Green, George Green and Mike Green; and one sister, Theo Bigger. Per Linda’s request, there will be no service but any memorials may be sent to the Montpelier Senior Center in her name.
