Wilbur D. “Bud” Paxton, age 85, of Bryan, passed away, Monday, December 12, 2016 at Community Health and Wellness Center- Bryan. Bud was a laborer for several area factories and had worked on the railroad early in his career. He was a member of First Brethren Church in Bryan. Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing and vegetable gardening.
Born January 11, 1931 in Edgerton, Ohio, he was the son of Raymond and Ola (Stotz) Paxton. Bud married Gertie E. Sprow in Bryan on March 16, 1966 and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Terry (Jewell) Paxton, of Alvordton; daughter, Teresa (David) Wines, of Bryan; 5 grandchildren, Tony, Lisa, Cody, Zach and Scott; a great grandson, J.J.; sister, Shirley and brother, Raymond. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Ryan Wines; brothers, Harold, Richard, James and Robert and sisters, Evelyn, Irene and Judy.
Funeral services for Wilbur “Bud” Paxton will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan with Pastor Brent Sloan officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral on Monday.
