Carmon G. Wade, age 81, of Bonita Springs, Florida, and formerly of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Physician’s Regional Hospital in Naples, Florida. Mr. Wade worked in maintenance at Pet Milk and General Tire before retiring to Florida. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving for 18 months in Korea. Carmon was a member of the Bryan American Legion Post 284, Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233, and the Bonita Springs Moose Lodge and was a life member of the Bonita Springs VFW Post.
Carmon G. Wade was born on January 4, 1935, in Wauseon, Ohio, the son of Franklin C. and Esther P. (Mocherman) Wade. He married Mariann (Ulrich) Moorehead in Bryan on June 17, 1978, and she preceded him in death. Carmon is survived by his children, Andrew (Amy) Wade, of Troy, Ohio, Crystal Boger, of Bryan, Lisa Wade, of Troy, Scott Moorehead, of St. Petersburg, Virginia, Sue (David) Shock, of Evansport, Ohio, and Ann Daniels, of San Carlos Park, Florida; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his special companion, Helen Gruber, of Naples, Florida; and a brother, Darrell Wade. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and infant brother, Duane Wade.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016, from 1:00-2:30 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, immediately followed by a memorial service with Ted Mathes officiating. Grave side committal services and military rites will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Saturday at Williams Center Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Bryan VFW Post 2489. A potluck dinner will be held from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 106 Detroit Street, Williams Center, following the grave side services.
Memorials in the name of Carmon G. Wade may be given to the Calvary United Methodist Church.
