Jamie A. Stewart

September 5, 1969 — December 7, 2016

Jamie A. Stewart, age 47, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away on Wednesday morning, December 7, 2016, at his home. Jamie went to St. Patrick Catholic School for eight years, where he played basketball and ran track and cross country. At Bryan High School, he was a three-sport athlete (baseball, football and basketball). As a junior, he ran a 4.5 second 40-yard dash. He played one year of football at Manchester (Indiana) College. He transferred to Bowling Green State University, where he spent three years before moving back home to finish his degree at Defiance College. After college, he moved to Florida and eventually became a General Manager for Blue-Green Time Shares in Palm Beach County. In Florida Jamie made many new friends, but never forgot his old ones or where he was from. Jamie was a fanatic follower of all his Cleveland teams, the Indians, Browns and Cavaliers, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Growing up he watched a lot of hockey games with his parents since they always had season tickets to the Fort Wayne Komets. Always being a hockey fan, when he got to Florida he adopted the Florida Panthers as his own. Along with following sports, he loved spending time with his fiancée, Aimee, and her daughter, Delilah, their many neighbor friends and going to country concerts. Jamie Aaron Stewart was born on September 5, 1969, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Don and Herminia (Garza) Stewart. In addition to his parents, Jamie is survived by his fiancée, Aimee Gaudet, and her daughter, Delilah, both of Lake Worth, Florida; brothers, Jerome (Jenny) Stewart, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jonathon Stewart, of Bryan; sister, Justine (Matt) Bruns, of Delaware, Ohio; grandmother, Helen Stewart, of West Unity, Ohio; grandfather, Ignacio Garza, of Bryan; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Stewart, grandmother, Guadalupe Garza, and grandfather, Wayne Stewart. Funeral services for Jamie A. Stewart will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father James Halleron officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, from 2:00-8:00P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M., followed by a time of sharing. Jamie was a difference maker in so many people’s lives. He loved his family very much and always wanted to do things for others. He made us so proud to have him as our son and best of all he knew Jesus Christ as his Savior. We know we can’t ask why. We have to say “Let it be, let the Lord’s will be done.” We also know of the promise that we will see Jamie again, and we believe in promises. Memorials in the name of Jamie A. Stewart may be given to St. Patrick Catholic School.
